Dorothy Carless was born in 1921, and seemingly living in California in 1997.Her sisters were Pearl Carr, born 1923, who had a popular singing partnership in the U.K with Teddy Johnson, and Carole Carr, 1928 - 1997, who also sang with bands such as Geraldo, as did Dorothy. Through the late 1930s , the 1940s and into the 1950s continued singing with various bands. A good pianist ,she got her break with Ray Noble's orchestra in the 1930s, moying on to other bands such as Ambrose and Geraldo.
