The Mascaron is a progressive metal band from Rīga, Latvia. The first plans for the band were made at the end of 2010 and the current Mascaron lineup was founded in the spring of 2012. Every member of the band is an experienced musician and have played in some similar and some not-so-similar projects. They are quite different in personalities but united in their musical ideas. The band heartily experiment with different musical styles and electronic elements. They create melodic and progressive metal music with features of the modern djent sound.
