With his hit song “From A Place” igniting the airwaves, one could say that his mantra should be scripted into the hall of fame for Jamaican entertainers. Born Joel Phipps, Sleepy Hallowtips spent most of his younger years moving back and forth between Jamaica and New York but always considered Jamaica ‘his place’.
