When Emily Baker was awarded the Arts Foundation Fellowship in Songwriting by Annie Lennox, things began to slot into place.A critically acclaimed debut, House of Cards, soon followed, with Emily being described as an “intense songwriting talent” by Maverick Magazine. Alongside touring with the likes of Amy Wadge and Jon Allen, she began to offer her ever-increasing fanbase a different kind of live experience: house concerts. She’d come over, play some songs and cook you a risotto: Baker by name, baker by nature.
