Burnley Vest (full name: George Burnley Vest III) is a composer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and singer originally from Athens, Georgia who now resides in Evanston, Illinois. He has written and recorded well over 500 songs, instrumental pieces and film soundtrack cues since the mid-1980's. Although primarily an auteur who performs all his own instrumental and vocal parts and records himself at home, Vest has appeared in several bands and worked with a number of musicians over the years, including Tim Eriksen, Vic Chesnutt, Mike Zwecker and Karen Girolami Callam.
