There are 3 bands that use the name Mourning. 1. Mourning was a Doom/Death Metal band formed in Netherlands (Gouda, South Holland) in 1989. The band then changed its name to Rouwen in 1997. Rouwen means “to mourn” in Dutch. 2. Mourning is a melodic punk/hardcore band with members from Syracuse, NY and Boston, MA. The band started in the winter of 09, and got together again to record their 7inch the following summer. They started paying shows in support of their first release in the Spring of 2010.
