Maximillian X is an electronic sound project created by Rob Dunn, formerly of the hardcore band Uphold (the US version). Taking a departure from his metal roots, Rob uses ambient sounds mixed with downtempo rhythms and Sci-Fi sound effects to make a concoction that isn't quite like anything else out there. Taking artistic direction from Amon Tobin, PNFA, Massive Attack and Tricky, the sounds of Maximillian X are typically of a darker breed.
