"Gecko Sector" was founded 2007 by Gerrit Thomas and Stefan Winkel. Thomas has had a successful career with his first band, "Funker Vogt", for many years. Winkel was known as a DJ. They met accidently in a club and noticed that they had the same taste if music. They decided to start something new. Stefan is responsible for the lyrics and vocals, Gerrit is the producer and musical mastermind. The sound of "Gecko Sector" can be described as a mixture of danceable technobeats, melancholic midtempo pieces and dark, depressive ballads.
