Prom Date is an indie pop/dance rock band based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The group blends a mix of guitars, samples, keyboards and vocal harmonies together to make serious music that still has a danceable feel. Members pull influence from a myriad of genres, ranging from pop sensibilities of The New Pornographers, chordal experimentations of Steely Dan, and the alternative style of Ben Folds Five.
