The Abner are an enigma wrapped in a riddle. They've been dubbed by most as a 'partycore' band, and I suppose this definition is accurate. The Abner write music twinging with random jolts of hardcore, jazz-styled funky verses and lyrics running the gamet from Dave's pained yelps about chat show hosts to some of the more silky-smooth and conventional verses about love and marriage. The Abner's guitarist Apple uses a guitar tuning that involves dropping his lower strings down whilst leaving the higher ones at their standard notes...
