Poum Tchack has been formed in 1997 in the streets of Aix-en-Provence, France. Following this unlikely meeting of six outstanding musicians coming from various horizons, the band has quickly been spotted as a rising star.
As of the year 2000, the Café Musiques La Fonderie offered them a support partnership. Pre-selected for the famous Découvertes du Printemps de Bourges, selected several times for the 'Tour en Region' (support program from the Region Provence-Alpes-Cotes-d'Azur), Poum Tchack has scoured since 2002 the best venues in the region and thus has build its reputation.
