Truly Smith started her singing career under her real name, Josie Taylor.
Her manager was Ted Ross. She performed a few times at the Club Del
Sol in Manchester where the owner Harvey Livingstone was particularly
impressed by her rendition of Barbra Streisand's ' My Colouring Book'.
