Γιάννης Μηλιώκας (Yannis Miliokas) is a satirical songwriter from Thessaloniki whose songs are sometimes surprisingly sad and serious. Although he is mostly known for his lowbrow humorous lyrics his songs do often times contain barbs of witty criticism.
His first album "Εδώ Θεσσαλονίκη" (Thessaloniki Calling) was released in 1985 and his second "Για το καλό μου" (For my own sake) in 1986 and since then he issued regular releases until the late nineties, although less frequently.
