Sándor Déki Lakatos is the leader of the band. As a Lakatos, he is the sixth generation of Gypsy violinists. At the age of 14 he already played second fiddle in his father's - Sándor Lakatos's - band. Thirty years ago he formed his own and has since travelled the world, making music in elegant night spots and eateries, concert halls and radio and television studios. He and his band have recorded a great deal, both at home and abroad.
