Loud Lucy began in a rural area in Illinois, when Christian Lane, met Tommy Furar. Lane who as a teenager lived in Peru, Illinois, met Furar who lived in near by Ogelsby, as the two entered High School. Lane was surprised that there was someone else wearing Beatles and The Who T-shirts. Lane and Furar became great friends and with the addition of a drummer, Loud Lucy was born. The band took up practice, in an abandoned biker bar, which was owned by Lane's step-grandmother.
