Anton "Eshon Burgundy" Hairston was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and grew up on the streets of South Philadelphia where he relocated in his preteen years. Growing up, all he heard around the house was hip-hop and rhythm and blues music which caught his artistic attention. That experience chartered him to start writing songs when he was just 9 years old.
