The Channeling was started in fall 2005 as a solo project by Intro5pect guitar player Chris Mann. Obvious inspirations for the project point to Rikk Agnew, Billy Bragg, & Dee Dee Ramone. Though the sound may merely be dismissed as punk/surf/rock, there seems to be a deeper punchline within the music and lyrics, which seem deviate between political, personal, and an obsession with the classic horror film genre.
