Eeppi Ursin has performed in bands ever since her early childhood. A career in music was soon the only satisfying choice. She studied oboe and played the piano to accompany her own singing. Jazz was however closer to her heart. After high school graduation, Eeppi studied in Orivesi and Joensuu, and returned to Helsinki to pursue her professional studies. Eeppi has received several honors and recognitions, among them the first prize in in the prestigious Lady Summertime Jazz contest. Eeppi's ambitious compositions and heartfelt lyrics were featured on her much celebrated 2005 release, Violet.
