Rapper June Bug hails from the west side of Detroit raised by a single mother and the peers he called his brothers. His earliest exposure to hip hop was the Fat Boys, Kid n Play, Kwame, N.W.A. and a video music show called The Jukebox. Imitating the musical art form that was fresh to his young ears, he began rapping in talent shows with schoolmates. With back-to-back victories becoming the norm, one particular win stood out from the rest. The grand prize of backstage passes to the Motown Revue at the Joe Louis Arena put June face to face with his rhyme-spitting crush, MC Trouble.
