West Gate is a progressive metal band from South Orange, New Jersey. Emerging from several different bands, including Jersey hard rock ack Roots of Rebellion, the five members of West Gate bring a convergence of styles from “old school” metal to today’s cutting edge progressive rock. The band members’ live experiences include gigs at New York/New Jersey venues such as CBGB, The Knitting Factory, The Stone Pony, and Starland Ballroom, while opening shows for bands such as Monster Magnet, Powerman 5000, Flaw, Soilwork, and Darkest Hour.
