Derrick Green (born January 20, 1971) is the vocalist for the heavy metal band Sepultura, whom he joined after the departure of their previous vocalist Max Cavalera in 1997. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Derrick was a singer for thrash metal/hardcore band Outface (with guitarist Charlie Gerriga of CIV, and Frank Cavanagh of Prong and Filter among others), Krop Acid and several other hardcore bands, the last of which prior to joining Sepultura was Alpha Jerk.
