John Goldsby has played bass with the Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR Radio and Television) Big Band in Cologne, Germany since 1994. Originally from Louisville, he was a protagonist on the New York scene from 1980 through 1994. His recordings as leader include Space for the Bass, The Visit , Live at the Nachbar , Cologne , Viewpoint , and Tale of the Fingers , in addition to countless recordings as a sideman.
