Budapest were formed in Leamington Spa in 1999 by John Garrison (vocals, guitar) and Chris Pemberton (keyboards), along with Adrian Kelley (bass), Mark Walworth (guitar) and Paul Possart (drums).
They released their first album 'Too Blind To Hear' in the UK in 2002. After the recordings of the first album, Walworth committed suicide, he was later replaced by Matt Parker.
The band went back to the studio to record their 2nd album, 'Head towards the dawn' in March 2004, with only two remaining members (Garrison and Pemberton). The band disbanded in November 2006.
