William Smith (born and raised in New Jersey) is an American singer-songwriter. With a folk-pop, acoustic style, Smith draws heavily on the 1970s tradition, yet captures the best of the acoustic revolution of the 1990s. His albums include "Looking Forward to Looking Back" (1997) and "Unvarnished" (1999).
