Lorena Gomez Pérez (born April 12 1986) is a Spanish pop-soul singer, known artistically as "Lorena" Lorena was the winner of the 2006 edition / fifth series of Spanish talent show, Operación Triunfo. The program consisted a similar format to reality TV shows like the X-Factor and American Idol. From the very start, Lorena was considered a strong favorite to win, impressing judges and audiences alike with her jaw-dropping renditions of "I Surrender" (Celine Dion), "Como Yo Te Amo" (Rocio Durcal) and, the performance-filled "Land of 1000 Dances."
