The band’s piercing guitar rhythms and buzzing leads peek out over pulsating basslines and a thunderous backbeat, making The Dirty Things one of the most exhilarating live acts to follow. As fans have put it, “These guys play dance music like a dirty rock n roll band.” Frontman Michael Scahill came to Chicago from NYC, and met lead guitarist Johnny Mick where the two quickly bonded over discussions of wrongly-forgotten music acts from the underground scene of the 1970s and 1980s.
