Maya Albana is a singer from Denmark. She was born in Sankt Peders Stræde in Copenhagen but raised in Odense. Her mother is Danish and her father is from Malaysia. She used to be in a group named Nice Device, but in 1999 she started a solo career and her first album was released. In 2004 her second album 'God Bless Education' was released.
That same year she was also accepted into Den Danske Filmskole (The Danish Film School) where she is, among other things, educated as a Documentary movie instructor.
