Orlann Divo is one these artists that started singing in Rio nightclubs in the late 50's and early 60's. During the beginning of Bossa Nova while rich Rio youngsters used to play and sing inside apartments, The young Orlann Divo was already singing(working as a crooner with Ed Lincon Combo) in Rio nightclubs he invented what he called "Sambalanço". He used to have a gimmick of playing with a regular set of keys as percussion while banging them on his hand. Today he is known more outside of Brazil(Which is a pity), because of the internet downloading of his music.
