Kitarō (喜多郎) (born Masanori Takahashi (高橋正則 Takahashi Masanori)) is a Grammy award-winning Japanese musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist. He was playing in Far East Family Band at 1965 with Klaus Schulze, Akira Ito, Fumio Miyashita, Hirohito Fukushima, and Yujin Harada. In 1989, he wrote the "Japanese" Theme for the film "Return From The River Kwai". The theme can be heard on Harkit Records HRKCD 8259 www.harkitrecords.com
