Twizzle are Sir Mildred Pitt and Spacecake, a Seattle based sampling and songwriting duo. For London rapper Twizzle, see Twizzle SG. In Mildred’s bedroom turned studio they were grabbing samples from scratchy old records in the late 90s. The samples Mildred finds really inspire the stories and lyrics Spacecake write and sing about. The name Twizzle evokes cutesy cocktail bars, fun and old-fashioned times and also a kind of twisted view on the world. Soda Fountain, their initial release with Comfort Stand Records, is available for free through the Comfortstand.com website or archive.org.
