Haila Maria Mompie Gonzalez was born on the 28th of January 1974 in the easterly part of Cuba, Las Tunas. From an early age on, she was wrapped in the beauty of dance, music and singing. After finishing her dancing degree in 1991, she performed with different bands as well as in numerous musicals and cabarets. For the first time ever, Haila toured in Mexico together with the "Guajira Habanera Show" in 1992.
