Singer, songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, instrument player, dreamer, doer... all of these labels apply to Yen-j, an all-round musician who has just embarked on his road to prominence. It all started when the boy wonder learned to play the piano at the age of 10, and from then on he was determined to devote his future to jazz music, which inspired him to name himself "Yen-j". In summer 2008, the 20-year-old, Los Angeles-born Yen-j sent his demo tape to record labels in Taiwan. It caught the eyes, or shall we say ears, of B'in Music executives, thus began his adventure in Mando-pop.
