There are at least 2 bands with the name The Weekenders. In order of popularity on Last.fm: 1) The Weekenders were one of the early Britpop bands on the Nineties Camden scene. Started London, UK in 1993 by songwriter and Blow Up Club promoter Paul Tunkin, joined by Chris Remington (currently in The Buzzcocks) on bass, Steve Smith on drums and James Hender on guitar. By 1995 the band had received a fair amount of press, including an NME “On” Feature, and one of the “Tips of the Year” in Melody Maker plus several full page features.
