Katice is a women's vocal group from Ljubljana brought and kept together by our enthusiasm for a large diversity of Slovene folk songs as well as by a strong desire to seek for yet untrodden paths of combining old, simple and beautiful songs with new times and musical tastes. These songs are authentic folk songs coming from all regions of Slovenia, and we lay a particular stress on those coming from marginal parts of Slovene ethnical territory, namely Rezija, Bela Krajina, Istria and Prekmurje.
