In an era of Born Against, Econochrist, and Rorschach, Blownapart Bastards had a similar sound to these bands with at least as much to say. Coming from North Carolina, and not adhering to punk fashion (their singer wore Tevas and bright shorts), Blownapart Bastards was less popular than these punk giants of the early 90s. Their lyrics were overtly political about issues ranging from animal rights, the environment, globalization, nonviolence, and indigenous rights."
