Adrian Hates is the lead singer of the German darkwave band Diary of Dreams. At the age of 9, he learned playing guitar, later bass and piano, at 14, he wrote his first poems and lyrics expressing his thoughts on people's arrogance, stupidity and maliciousness. In 1993 he joined the Goth rock band Garden of Delight on bass. After their temporary split-up, Adrian Hates founded Diary of Dreams with Alistair Kane. He also founded Accession Records.
