Birgit Lystager (b.1946) is a Danish vocal artist, carrying the lucky combination of the true Scandinavian sound, mixed with international appeal and flavour. Her recorded material contains both jazz and bossanova, as well as pop and sophisticated ballads.
DJs from all over the world have met her records with enjoyment, and have been touched by the resemblance to Karen Carpenter or even Astrud Gilberto. And because of that, her music has been known almost worldwide.
