Luísa Maita, singer and songwriter based in São Paulo, Brazil, is the daughter of Amado Maita, musician and composer who had his only album considered the "holy grail" among collectors in the world, and Myriam Taubkin (cultural producer). She has been listening to jazz and samba music since childhood. In 2010, launched her solo work as a singer, going far beyond samba and MPB, searching for a fresh approach to pop music in Brazil. She spent time with great musicians like Sizão Machado, Moacir Santos, Nana Vasconcelos, Paulinho da Viola, Lenin, William Vergueiro, among many others.
