Peter & the Prophets were more than a 60s garage band formed in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They held their legendary dance music sessions at the Beach Bash in Grand Haven, Michigan, Club Pony Tail in Petosky, Mi. various bars, and gigs in Lansing at Michigan State Events. Peter Samuelson, lead singer and rhythm guitar, and John Kay, vocalist, writer, 12 string, were playing all over the Midwest in the 60s and when approached to join with the likes of the Bolin Brothers lead and bass respectively, they jumped at the chance.
