The Visitor were from the Frisian region of the Netherlands and existed from 1980-1988. They were a part of the Die Friese Bries scene (avantgarde wave bands) that was happening in that region in the mid 80's as well as the emergence of Top Hole Records. US Band: A few short years ago, two bands with suburban roots began making waves in the Chicago music world. MATTHEW (Rykodisc) and The Strategy Game arrived on the scene and laid the groundwork for a post 1990’s sound and vision to emerge in Chicago rock.
