MADCHEN AMICK is the name of the band founded by the singer and artist Jimmy Zurek and the sound artist Robert Schwarz.
The Viennese duo bonded over the bizarre world of David Lynch’s series Twin Peaks, the poetry of Heiner Müller, Johnny Cash’s ‘speed’, and the dark rockabilly heartbeat of Suicide, a perfect representation of No Wave Country as they call their style of music.
Their sound evokes the colour of the walls of Dorothy Vallen’s apartment in David Lynch’s movie Blue Velvet combined with the sound of a powerful engine of a classic 50’s car.
